Howler is a casual dining and live entertainment venue in a huge old converted warehouse on Dawson St., just behind Brunswick railway station. It has a leafy open air beer garden which creates the effect of a relaxed oasis in the middle of the semi-industrial grunge of the Brunswick backstreets.

It is definitely a gastro pub beer and burger kind of place. As well as indie rock acts like Sunnyside and Coltrane, there is a heavy emphasis on live comedy, such as the Fire Bad Comedy Gala and the Raw Comedy Heats each year.
