Northcote Social Club is the focal point of the live music scene in the inner north once you get a little further out than Fitzroy and Collingwood. As well as a pleasant and relaxing gastro pub out the front, it has a purpose built band room for live rock performances at the back.

On top of which, it has a late night DJ for Friday and Saturday nights, hosts a JJJ Hottest 100 countdown party, has a trivia night on Tuesdays and pie night on Wednesdays. Some of the notable acts that have played there include Tex Perkins, Damian Cowell's Disco Machine, Sebadoh and Dead City Ruins.
